To start with, Alex and Debbie’s first voyage to the Antarctic looked to be plain sailing in every sense of the term. However, it wasn’t long before news began to trickle through that on the other side of the world a calamity was unfolding that was taking the lives of millions of people, and now, in its unstoppable advance, it was threatening the lives of every remaining human on the planet.
